Meat Sauce Steamed Tofu By Jesslynsukiat88

Hi People!

As you can see, my recent posts are all random starting from life quotes which are so cheesy ( I just realized :p) , my school project about leisure time and there's a travel guide to Tasmania and Melbourne which is based on my experience 2 years ago.

Before that I would like to ask you some question.

Have you experienced some idea block regarding cooking? I bet all of you who have a duty on daily cooking have had experienced this kind of situation.

And how to overcome this situation?

So today, I would like to start filling my blog with daily food recipe that I cooked and I hope maybe it could give you some ideas to keep you awaayyyyy from cooking idea block.

The first recipe that I would like to share to you is...

Meat Sauce Steamed Tofu

General Ingredients :

1. 1/4 kilogram minced pork
2. 1 pack of Shimeji Mushroom or you can use 7 to 8 pieces of Shitake mushroom
Fyi, don't put mushrooms in the water, just let the water stream through the mushroom unless it may get stink.
3. Kong Kee Tofu (Silken Tofu), you can get it in fresh market or traditional market.
4. 3 cloves of garlic finely minced
5. 4 cloves of shallot ( you don't need this if you already have a ready-to-eat-fried-shallot )
6. 3 eggs
7. Oyster Sauce
8. Spring onion

Silken Tofu / Kong Kee Tofu

Shitake Mushrooms cut into small pieces (don't too small unless it get shrink when cooked)

Seasoning 1 (minced pork) :

1. Salt and other instant seasoning (optional)
2. Black pepper
3. Sesame oil (1/2 tbsp)
4. Soy Sauce (1 tbsp)
5. Tapioca flour (1 tbsp full) it helps to get the minched pork taste smooth

\

Mix the minced pork with seasoning 1 and set it aside for about 15-20 minutes

Seasoning 2 (Steamed egg) :

1. Soy Sauce (1 tbsp)
2. Sesame Oil (1 tbsp)
3. Black Pepper
4. Salt and other optional seasoning
5. Mineral Water ( 50 ml or based on your preference) the more the water the softer the egg.

Mix the eggs with seasoning 2 , don't stir too much.

Cut the silken tofu into 2 thin pieces and put it into the mixed egg

Steamed it for about 30-35 minutes depends on the steamed pan that you use (usually it took 35 minutes using traditional steamed pan)
You can try to fork the steamed egg to know whether it's cooked or not.

Then while waiting for the steamed egg to be cooked which is 35 minutes, you can start cooking the meat sauce itself.

1. Put some cooking oil into the pan and then put the chopped garlic, cook until it gets yellow and smells good.
2. Put in the minced pork, stir it so that it won't get sticky with the pan (you better use teflon), put some oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt, other optional seasoning and a little bit of sesame oil.
3. After that put the mushroom into the mixed minced pork, stir it until it gets done with the texture and the taste.
4. If you see that the cooking is too dry, you can add some water and then put some tapioca flour (which is mixed with water) to thicken.
5. Add some chopped spring onion, stir for about 5 times and turn off the stove.

It will looked like this (The picture doesn't taste good due to the low skill of photography and the bad lighting, but actually the taste is soooooooo damn GOOD! hahaha Trust me!)

Beside that, this is the cooked Steamed egg after being steamed for 35 minutes.

And
FINALLY.............................

This is my first time Meat Sauce Steamed Tofu

This is a simple yet soo delicious recipe that's worth the try. Go get your ingredients and start!

Hope you guys enjoy it :)

P.S : I will make another one and take a way better picture of it :D
